Exmouth is blessed with one of the most diverse range of sportfish and sportfishing options of anywhere in Australia. Located on the Exmouth Gulf and only a stones throw away from the magnificent Ningaloo Reef system, the list of sportfish and methods you can employ to target them is never ending.
Chose to spend the day exploring the Gulf, investigate the many mangrove lined islands, bays and river systems. Sight cast to big tailing golden trevally, queenfish, giant herring and permit, who all frequent the area. Maybe you would prefer to cast surface or sub-surface lures for a highly prized coral trout, or you could try the hard pulling triple tail around the float lines for a close range tug of war battle.
The Manta Rays visit the gulf each year tailed by many mid to very large cobia. These fish are always willing to eat a well presented bait, lure or fly which can make for some visually spectacular, heart pounding bites followed by scorching runs.
Perhaps you would like to experience the heart racing, line burning action from some of our pelagic sportfish, waiting for you just outside the reef. World record size mackerel, wahoo, giant trevally and sailfish frequent these waters along with many species of tuna including: yellowfin, big eye and northern bluefin and of course the ever present Marlin.
